Is it possible to continuously display the time on the thermostat's screen?

The display design can be changed in the app. Permanently displaying the time on the screen is currently not possible.

Is the thermostat compatible with my gas boiler with a potential-free switching contact?

The SL06116W room thermostat has the potential-free switching contact at No. 7 and 8. The SL06216W model at No. 5 and 6.

Are they compatible with any actuator (on the underfloor heating manifold), or are specific actuators necessary for regulating underfloor heating?

The thermostat is compatible with any actuator.

What is the standby power consumption?

The standby power consumption is <0.5W.

Does the room thermostat have a cooling function?

Yes, the SL06116W room thermostat has a cooling function, which can be activated in the Smart Life app or via the advanced settings of the room thermostat.

Is there a child lock?

Yes, the child lock can be activated and deactivated by pressing and holding the “down arrow button” for a few seconds.

Can I use the room thermostat without a Smart Home central unit?

No bridge or similar is required for connection to the Smart Life/Tuya App. The room thermostat can also be controlled “non-smart” as an alternative, without any app connection.

Can I use the SIRO Smart Room Thermostat SL06116W without internet?

No, the room thermostat requires an active internet connection to function properly. Although you can manually adjust the temperature directly on the touchscreen, the thermostat must be connected to Wi-Fi for both manual operation and temperature control to work correctly.

The Wi-Fi connection is also used for calibration and synchronization of the device functions, therefore use without an internet connection is not possible.

Which actuators are compatible with the thermostat?

The SL06116W is compatible with all commercially available 230V actuators, both normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO) models. The contact capacity is 3A, which is sufficient for common underfloor heating actuators.

How accurate is the thermostat's temperature measurement?

The integrated sensor measures the room temperature with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C. The temperature setting range is between 5 °C and 35 °C, while the display can show temperatures from 1 °C to 70 °C.

A deviation of about 1–2 °C is within the normal range for the SIRO Smart Room Thermostat SL06116W. This is because room air, radiators or actuators, and the internal temperature sensor never behave exactly the same physically. Small differences between the measured and actually perceived room temperature are therefore technically inherent and not entirely avoidable.

Can I control multiple thermostats in different rooms using one app?

Yes, you can centrally manage any number of SIRO thermostats via the Smart Life app. Each device can be individually named and assigned its own schedules. The Smart Life app also allows the creation of scenes for multiple rooms simultaneously.

How long do the settings last in case of a power outage?

In the event of a power outage, your saved settings and schedules will not be lost. Since the thermostat is controlled via the cloud, all data is stored online and automatically synchronized as soon as the power and internet connection are restored. During the power outage, no control or temperature regulation is possible, but after restoration, the thermostat will automatically resume operation with the stored cloud data.

Please note that in individual cases, after longer power or internet outages, the thermostat may require a new Wi-Fi connection before the connection to the cloud is fully restored.

Does the thermostat also work with ZigBee or Bluetooth?

No, the SL06116W operates exclusively via Wi-Fi in the 2.4 GHz band. The direct Wi-Fi connection has the advantage that no additional gateway is required.

What is the diameter of the terminals for the cables?

The terminals are designed for cable cross-sections up to 2.5 mm². This corresponds to the standard for installation cables in domestic technology. The terminals are located on the back and are easily accessible after installation.

Do I need a neutral conductor for installation?

Yes. A neutral conductor (N) is absolutely necessary for installation. Proper connection is not possible without a neutral conductor.

Is there a holiday function or frost protection?

The thermostat has programmable schedules that allow you to set a reduced temperature during your absence. The minimum temperature of 5°C serves as frost protection. You can adjust the temperature remotely at any time via the app.
